Abstract: THE ROLE OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY (FINTECH) IN TRANSFORMING TRADITIONAL FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
This research investigates the transformative role of financial technology (FinTech) in traditional financial management. Objectives include assessing the adoption of FinTech solutions, analyzing their impact on financial management practices, and identifying barriers to FinTech integration. A survey research design is employed to gather data from financial managers and technology officers. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 300 firms in Lagos, Nigeria, was selected. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument is 0.89. Findings indicate that FinTech significantly enhances financial management efficiency through automation, improved data analytics, and real-time financial monitoring. Recommendations include fostering a supportive regulatory environment for FinTech innovation and encouraging traditional financial institutions to adopt FinTech solutions to remain competitive.
